The Scottish Academy of Hypnosis & Mind Therapies has been training hypnotherapists in Scotland for over 25 years.
Our training is built on real clinical experience, not just theory. We are working therapists who continue to see clients and stay actively involved in the profession.
This means what we teach is grounded in what actually works in practice.
We believe that effective training should be clear, practical, and relevant to real-life therapeutic work.
Our courses are designed to help you:
Understand how hypnotherapy works
Develop practical, usable skills
Build confidence step by step
Prepare for real client situations
We focus on teaching approaches and techniques that are effective, flexible, and widely used in clinical practice.
As therapists, we have worked with a wide range of issues, including:
Anxiety and stress-related problems
Eating difficulties and weight issues
Pain management
Trauma and PTSD
Phobias and performance-related challenges
This breadth of experience allows us to prepare students for what they are likely to encounter in real practice — not just in theory, but in reality.
The Academy has been delivering accredited hypnotherapy training since the early 2000s.
Over the years, we have:
Delivered NCH-accredited HPD training across Scotland
Developed and expanded our training based on real student needs
Maintained consistently high standards in both teaching and practice
Successfully supported students through the HPD qualification process
We are proud to be an NCH Accredited Training School and to follow their professional standards.
Our training has been refined over many years and continues to evolve.
We:
Update our course materials regularly
Structure our training clearly to support learning outcomes

We are proud that our students are well prepared for qualification and professional practice.

Our training has developed over many years, growing from small courses into a well-established training academy.
We have delivered training across Scotland, developed our own training centre, and adapted to changing needs — including offering live online training when required.
Throughout this time, our focus has remained the same:
👉 to provide high-quality, practical hypnotherapy training that prepares students for real-world practice.
We are not simply training providers.
We are practising therapists who are deeply committed to our profession, and to supporting the next generation of hypnotherapists.Train with an experienced therapist in a purpose built therapy centre, where you develop real clinical skill, confidence, and depth.
Training is kept deliberately small so you are properly supported as you learn.
You are not one of many — you are known, guided, and developed as an individual.
This allows you to:
Build genuine confidence
Understand how to work with real clients
Develop skills that actually transfer into practice
